Once projects qualify for aid for archaeological research in Mallorca.
Palma, July 14 .- Eleven projects of archeological or paleontological interventions have been submitted to the call for aid for a total of 174 024 euros offered by the Consell de Mallorca in this field to promote research.
Among the eleven projects listed five proposals to carry out excavations in the Sec Can Penya Alaro), the site of Ses Paises, buy kinah aion, and the cave of Puig den Xoroi both in Arta), as well as in Son Pereto and Hospitalet Vell, both in Manacor, as reported by the Consell de Mallorca in a statement.
The other proposals are interventions at the site of the Moorish Puig of Calvia, Son Real in Santa Margalida, the Bellver Castle in Palma, the, tera gold, site of the Gaia Can Closos Felanitx and caves of Lloret Deinat den, plus a archaeological project in the Castell de Capdepera.
Of the total amount of aid, 55,000 were earmarked for proposals made by municipalities and 119 024 by private individuals.
The objective of this line of insular department grants for Culture and Heritage is to promote, sto credits, study, research, knowledge and the diffusion of deposits of Mallorca.
Aid can not exceed 80% of the total project cost and the maximum amount per application is 20,000 euros. The deadline for applications is July 4.
